Over the past 20 years, I went from a graphic designer, to web developer, to marketer, to marketing director, to CMO.
I worked with 100+ brands, created 250+ websites myself, touched the life and work of 10,000+ marketers and entrepreneurs, built 6 marketing teams and visited 29 countries.
The Life Of A Marketer
Us, marketers, we live a very tough life – fast paced, stressful, having zillion moving parts and full of people who are ready to give us (unwanted) marketing advice after watching a 7-minute video on YouTube.
At the same time, we love our job. Having a “marketing head” gives us a different perspective to almost everything. However, we are also human (surprise!).
We struggle, we learn, we love, we make mistakes and we want to have a meaningful life.
For those 20 years I didn’t find all the answers, but knocked on most of the doors. And I continue knocking on new ones.
I am not a guru. I am not going to teach you or to give you advice. What I am going to do is to share. Here I am sharing shamelessly what I have explored, what obstacles I have faced, what mistakes I have done and what things I have figured out and built.
All of the above is an ongoing process which happens also in this very moment. So, grab the popcorn and enjoy the show.

It feels a bit odd to talk about myself in the third person, but let’s imagine someone asked,
“Who is Boril Bogoev?”
and someone else answers:
Boril Bogoev is a marketing strategist and practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the digital field.
Back in 1999, he began his career as a graphic designer. He climbed every rung of the ladder—web designer, programmer, corporate sales, marketing. He has extensive practical experience with most aspects of digital marketing—marketing management, content marketing and copywriting, email marketing, affiliate marketing, social media marketing, online advertising, marketing optimization, and marketing technologies.
In 2010, he defended a dissertation on “Automated Systems in Internet Business Models.” A year later, he created the first and most comprehensive (at the time) online marketing course in Bulgaria—”Internet Marketing Jump Start.”
Over the last 11 years, Boril has created 21 online courses, which he publishes in the Learning Zone on his website. He is the co-author of two e-books and the author of five. He published his first print book, “The Wisdom of Boril,” in 2018.
He teaches courses at New Bulgarian University and SoftUni. He has been a speaker at dozens of events and conferences, leading hundreds of trainings and presentations. He has reached personally (through live events) and via online trainings over 10,000 people.
Boril’s professional experience spans a wide range of industries (as an expert, manager, or consultant)—FinTech, fashion, sporting goods, real estate, children’s toys, telecommunications, publishing, systems integration, cosmetics, online media, furniture, and others.
Boril also has been a freelance consultant with projects in diamond trading, organizing events and trainings, an online auction platform, a marketplace for a wide range of products, and a clinic for high-tech beauty, life extension, and health improvement practices.
Boril Bogoev specializes in marketing management and optimizing results for clients in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. His focus is on e-commerce projects, email marketing and automation, marketing management, marketing technologies, and conversion optimization.
Currently, Boril is Group Head of Marketing 0f BinHendi Holding. He is doing his best to drive forward the marketing success of 6 brands by composing a state-of-the-art marketing management platform and building the best marketing team.

My Professional Philosophy
- Holistic approach. Everything is marketing and marketing is everything.
- Start with the foundations. Set the pillars right from the very beginning.
- Unshakeable infrastructure. Build to perform, last and scale.
- Leverage people. People are the elephant in the room. Select, train, maintain, develop, lead, inspire.
- Grow by upgrading, not by following. Plan, perform, progress, by building on your own achievements, not by comparing to others.
- Clients are human. Your clients are your community. They are not just rows and numbers in a spreadsheet.
- Problems, problems. Problems are everywhere and they are not obstacles but stepping stones to perfection. Solve them not in order of appearance but by the magnitude of their impact.
- Quick-easy-simple is a trap. There is no significant and meaningful success which is quick, easy and simple. The scam is.
- Be professional. Think well. Keep your promises. Stay calm. Do the work with grace and excellence.
